The UWC National Committee of Madagascar is pleased to announce that it has received the following offers for the school years 2024 - 2026:

  • One Up to Fully Funded scholarship for Pearson College UWC
    • Country: Canada
    • School years: Aug 2024 - May 2026
    • Age restriction: born between September 1, 2005 and September 1, 2008
    • Offer details: Up to 100% tuition covered by scholarship depending on the means of the family; additional costs not covered
  • One Up to Fully Funded scholarship for UWC South East Asia
    • Country: Singapore
    • School years: Aug 2024 - May 2026
    • Age restriction: born between April 1, 2007 and May 1, 2009
    • Offer details: Up to 100% tuition covered by scholarship depending on the means of the family; additional costs not covered
  • One Up to Fully Funded scholarship (not guaranteed) for UWC Robert Bosch College
    • Country: Germany
    • School years: Aug 2024 - May 2026
    • Age restriction: born between December 31, 2004 and August 31, 2008
    • Offer details: Up to 100% tuition covered depending on the means of the family; additional costs not covered
    • Additional details: This scholarship offer from Robert Bosch UWC is not guaranteed: the candidate presented by the National Committee of Madagascar will be evaluated by Robert Bosch College against the candidates presented by National Committees of other countries. The student nominated for this scholarship must be able to either take French A or German B.

Note: Additional costs associated with scholarships typically include flights, health insurance, visa fee, pocket money, amongst others.

Selection details

Eligibility criteria

  • In Seconde, Première, or Terminale (we may consider Bacheliers) [Note: UWC is a pre-university programme. We do not offer university scholarships]
  • Citizen of and resident in Madagascar

N.B.: We do not offer any university scholarships.

Selection Criteria

  • Outstanding academic track record (overall grade point average of 14 out of 20 or above)
  • Proficiency in English - an intermediate level is recommended (the language of instruction at UWC is English)
  • Commitment to UWC goals and principles.
  • Resilience and ability to manage academics and life away from home.
  • Capacity to pass the National Committee’s selection process, which includes an application form, and interviews for shortlisted candidates.

Selection Process

  • The UWC National Committee of Madagascar evaluates candidates based on the above selection criteria
  • The National Committee nominates a finalist to each of the Colleges, and
  • Each College makes the final admission decision and informs the National Committee, which then informs the finalist

Important dates

Deadline to submit applications: January 20, 2024
Interviews: February 2024 (dates to be confirmed)

N.B.: ONLY shortlisted candidates will be contacted at each step of the selection process.

N.B.: Please, do not submit your application until it is 100% complete. You are only allowed one submission per student. However, you can save your progress as you do the tasks.

Mandatory supporting documents

In additional to filling out your application, you must submit the following documents to support it:

  • Transcript for the first term of the school year 2023 - 2024 (Bulletin du 1er trimestre de l’année scolaire 2023 - 2024) - stamped and signed by your school
  • Transcripts from all terms of the school year 2022 - 2023 (Bulletins des 3 trimestres de l’année scolaire 2022 - 2023) - stamped and signed by your school

Only completed application (including all required transcripts) will be considered.
